Performance
Frustration over frequent oil changes led Joe Vigil, Pueblo
West, Colo., to the freedom and superior quality of
AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils.
Vigil reports he purchased a 1993 Saturn from his sister in
1996 when the car only had 15,000 miles on the engine. He was commuting 100
miles a day to work using conventional motor oil and “changing oil every other
week, so it seemed,” Vigil said.
Some friends of his who are AMSOIL
customers convinced him to try AMSOIL
5W-30 Synthetic
Motor Oil.
“It is now six years later and I recently needed to change
the timing chain,” Vigil said. “Imagine my surprise when I removed the cam cover
and timing cover only to find the cleanest engine I’ve ever seen. Not bad for a
car with 200,002 miles on it.”
Although he originally chose AMSOIL
simply to get away from frequent oil changes, Vigil found he got much more than
he expected.
“I got fewer oil changes and a car that ran cooler, with
improved gas mileage, as well,” he said. He still drives the Saturn daily and
has installed AMSOIL
XL-7500 10W-40 in his 1978 Ford big
block 460. “I’m a believer! Thanks AMSOIL.”
