Some Ford trucks, notably those with the 6.0 L. diesel engines,
recommend Mercon SP fluid, only, be used in the automatic
transmission. What does AMSOIL
recommend?
A.
AMSOIL does not have a
fluid for this application. The Ford SP Automatic Transmission Fluid
has a special viscosity requirement. It cannot be replaced by any
current AMSOIL products. AMSOIL
recommendation is to continue using products that meet the Ford
Mercon SP specifications.
